Hi guys! Peel off liquid latex/tape is all the rage these days for nail art. I often wonder what we did before this became a trend?! I know I used scotch tape and it was just terrible! Born Pretty Store has released their own version of peel off tape, and I'm going to share my experience with you all today.
I figured the best and messiest nail art to do (besides watermarble..I'm still on watermarble protest) would be a gradient. When I tested it around my nails with no nail art, it peeled off fantastically. Dries very fast in 2-3 minutes, which is always a plus. It does have a very strange citrus smell, which was kinda off putting.
However, when I did my gradient and attempted to peel it off it was a disaster. Where polish was on the latex, it would NOT peel off, it was like trying to get bubble gum out of your hair.
30 minutes and lots of acetone later..
Needless to say, I did not use this on my other hand! I was very disappointed that it added 30 minutes and lots of aggravation to an otherwise simple nail art technique.
