I always look forward to China Glaze's summer collections, they're some of my favorite mainstreams. The formulas are usually iffy, but they're so bright and fun it's easy to look past the formula issues. I have half of the Lite Brites collection to share with you all today!
The Sally Beauty in my town hasn't been carrying full collections for some time now. They'll have half of a collection, and 2 of each shade. Then, they'll offer minis of some, but ultimately they don't carry the full collection which is really disappointing. These 6 are from a mini set called "Whip it Good"
I'll Pink to That is described as a neon fuchsia. Formula was good, however the rim was crusty and to me, it looked used. This is 2 coats.
I Got a Blue Attitude is described as a deep blue violet with blue shimmer. Formula was fantastic and needed 2 coats for full opacity.
Papa Don't Preach is described as a coral peach with iridescent copper glitter. Formula was good, this is 3 coats.
We Got the Beet is described as a grape with iridescent copper shimmer. I'm not going to beet around the bush, the formula was absolutely dreadful. My bottle was also HALF EMPTY, again with a used polish? I should have taken them back to Sally's, because one with a crusty rim, ok..but 2 with a crusty rim and half empty bottle? So, I can't say for certain if it had a crappy formula because it was used already or because it really is terrible. This is 3 coats, and still have a visible nail line.
What I Like About Blue is described as a sky blue shimmer. This was my favorite from the collection and had the best formula. This is 2 coats.
Whip it Good is described as a vibrant banana yellow. It was hard to photograph, so I can't say my swatch is 100% color accurate. This is 2 coats.
What do you think of the Lite Brites collection?
